Joanna Klink’s new book is Days & Chances (Penguin, 2026). Klink’s previous books are The Nightfields (2020), Excerpts from a Secret Prophecy (2015), Raptus (2010), Circadian (2007), and They Are Sleeping (University of Georgia Press, 2000).

Her poems have appeared in a range of journals and anthologies, including Poetry, A Public Space, The Paris Review, The Penguin Anthology of Twentieth Century Poetry, and Revisiting the Rothko Chapel. She has received awards and fellowships from the Rona Jaffe Foundation, Civitella Ranieri, the American Academy of Arts and Letters, the Bogliasco Foundation, the Trust of Amy Lowell, and the Guggenheim Foundation. 

Brief Seasons, a collaboration with photographer Ruth Lauer Manenti and Ryan Paradiso, is forthcoming in 2027 from NECK Press.

Originally from Iowa, she lived for many years in Missoula, Montana. She now lives in Austin, Texas, where she teaches at the Michener Center for Writers.
